Nubby's Number Factory is a game about running a number factory. The goal is to make big numbers to level up your factory and make even bigger numbers!

You can enjoy the demo release of Nubby's Number Factory by downloading the file below. As far as I know, it works well on Windows machines, but I cannot guarantee it will work smoothly on Mac or Linux machines. In future updates, I will add support for mac and linux. I will also add localization for CIS regions / Russia, among other languages by play request. This game can only be played with a keyboard & mouse.
In this demo you'll find:
-A complete tutorial
-60 levels
-Lots of replayability value:
-24 unique items to be discovered
-17 unique perks that modify your runs
-5 bosses (3 encountered in each game)
-7 special events
-7 different pegboard layouts
-Developer console for doing crazy things (shift + enter while in game to enable)

Wish there was a Mac version.
Super addicting game, really enjoy the formula. My only complaint is that there's not enough items, my playthroughs look too alike, but I imagine you might be working on that already. Besides that, genuinely fun game, gonna keep playing.
You should turn mystery box off as a perk for the first few runs, i just saw squeex play with it in his vod and it ruined his mindset when he had it, its anti-learning
if you put this on mobile platforms you will sell 1 billion copies
Why make billions when you can make... Nubbilions!?!
(jokes aside, a mobile port is going to be worked on this summer)

I just want to say you have something really special here. I played the demo on Steam recently and bought the game the next day. Your aesthetic, sense of humor, and gameplay progression is just spot on. All I had to see is that Northernlion enjoyed the game and I know this is going to be a breakout hit; if you can get this on mobile I see this hitting Balatro levels of popularity. P.S: Good luck with your development journey! You have definitely inspired me to work on a game of my own. What engine/programming language are you using for Nubby?

For Nubby, I used GameMaker Studio 2 and its native language, GML. From what I've gathered, it's similar in some ways to javascript. Good luck with your game development journey! It's a heck of a time for sure.

Are you sure that it can't be played with controllers? Have you tried using JoyToKey?
I think there should be controller support sometime in the near future.
No PC game needs built-in controller support in order to be controller-compatible - it only needs to have a limited number of controls.
Including built-in controller support is great, if it's very Xbox or PlayStation-specific.
is the song downloadable or purchasable anywhere
The soundtrack will be added upon, and then released for purchase on the steam store next update.

That has been on my radar recently. Once the PC version is where I'd like it to be, I might seriously look into this.

the new sell price on items really incentivizes rebuilding your kit after every few rounds, the new events are spectacular work--simple, yet well orchestrated. I give update 0.26 a solid 10/10. I've never seen an already good game find so much room for improvment

I really like a lot of the changes in this update- the new music, pegs, events, and items are all dope- but I honestly think I like the previous version more. Perks are no replacement for item traits! The de-emphasis on luck and RNG in the item shop was necessary, I understand, but I feel like there was way more build diversity when the perk abilities were tied to the items and their respective proc rates. Though it did make Flutty very broken. I think this change in direction definitely works, especially if more items and perks are added, but I will grieve my v0.25 instant board-clear build that immediately crashed the game.
Will continue to play and follow development!

Addicting gameplay. Would be nice if the fullscreen worked properly for square monitors and fit properly like with Nancy Drew games, didn’t expect it to leave a trail of hands lol. Like others have said there are random crashes. Would be fun if there was a sandbox/god mode to mess around with.

Thanks for checking it out!!!! Yeah lvl 59 is a doosie. It's a hard game to beat. Keep at it! (hint: in V0.25 the lobster claw is completely broken if you have a lot of them. It's getting nerfed in the next update so use it while you can!)

I have lost hours to this amazing game. The gameplay is simple, and the loop feels rewarding, nuff said. I would pay top dollar in a heartbeat for the finished product. Can't wait to see where this goes :)

Love the aesthetic and concept. Super simple and easy to pick up. I dig Tony, but I was wondering if you would be adding any additional managers which could have some interesting passive abilities and of course more wild looks.

i love this game its kind of reminds me of the binding of Isaac with the synergies. and cruelty squad with the art style. the only thing that needs fixed are the crashes but other than that its a good game. and if i could make 1 suggestion it would be please add some items that effect the gravity or bounciness of the ball
